Ultra Platform™ is the ultra-lightweight foundation on which we build our Ultra series running shoes. The platform includes a perfect balance between stack height, drop and foot angle to enable runners to keep form as effortlessly as possible, which is essential when you want to run fast during a sustained period of time. Introducing an innovative carbon plate with precision split at front, Ultra Platform™ delivers energy return also during turns and on uneven ground. Vault Foam™
Vault Foam™ is a lightweight and durable midsole foam that delivers consistent propulsion over a long period of time. This EVA-based foam adds a unique chemical compound for enhanced rebound and durability. Fast, light and long-lasting are the main characteristics of this high-quality midsole foam.
Anatomic Racing Fit
The Ultra running shoes combine a tight and secure fit around the foot with an anatomic toe box. Ultra Carbon Plate™
Our most advanced running shoes feature the highly innovative Ultra Carbon Plate™. Made of carefully sourced carbon fiber, this thin plate works almost like a trampoline, offering best-in-class energy return. In addition, the tuned carbon plate comes with a precision split, allowing the big toe to press independently on the medial side of the plate and the other toes on the lateral side – which creates torsion to provide ultra-rebound on varying surfaces and angles.
CTM Ultra Carbon REVIEWS
The CTM Ultra carbon was genuinely designed as an "any surface, any distrance" running shoes. It's heavy for a marathon running shoe but when compare to other trail & ultra races, it's pretty average.
Carbon-plated Propulsion
The stiffed plates enhanced the runner's pronation. As soon as you move forward, the stiffed platings lift the rear ends to encourage forward propulsion. Running uphill should be a breeze as it reduces the muscular stress on the legs on steep inclines.
Solid Platform on every Surface
The narrow sole and tall stack height is unstable on technical singletrack, but that’s to be expected since it’s not a true trail shoe. However, on gravel and pavement the Ultra Carbon is sturdy, responsive, and snappy
Ultralight Upper
The upper fabric is see-through and lightweight, and it’s almost entirely bonded instead of stitched. the mesh stretches to comfortably wrap over your midfoot and there’s plenty of room in the toe box for stable toe-off. The fit around the heel and ankle is narrow, and keeps your foot locked in place well, much like a racing shoe should, however the tall collar sat flush against my Achilles
